5 ways you can be green at work...

Maximize computer efficiency - Remember to turn off your computer and power strip before leaving for the day. Also, set your computer to "sleep mode" automatically during your break times.

Print smarter - Try switching to chlorine-free, lighter stock paper and print on both sides of paper. Also try printing in draft mode instead of color printing or go paperless whenever possible.

Bring your own stuff - Make it a habit to bring your own dishware and coffee mug to help minimize the amount of waste. In addition, offer filtered water to reduce bottle water waste.

Create healthy work spaces - When cleaning your personal workspace, consider using Eco-friendly products to create a non-toxic environment for yourself and those around you. Try putting a plant as well to brighten up your area and reduce pollution at the same time.

Recycle, Recycle, Recycle - Create a well labeled bin in a high traffic work area and fill it with products that can be resused or recycled such as paper, fax paper, envelopes, junk mail, old cell phones or beepers, and more. Also, check with your supplies manager and ask to purchase supplies and furniture from recycled material.
